FROM: THE ANIMA SERIES, 2008-2009
This series was inspired by my experiences among animists conceptual representation of their beliefs. Animists see the world of nature as alive: possessing spirits, breath, soul and is at once—interconnected and dualistic— possessing both masculine and feminine aspects that inhabit all things.
Anima represents the feminine principle or power behind the world of nature. It is the creative, internal, contemplative, yielding and hidden dimensions. Seen together Anima and Animus become the sum duality.
